Christian Duc designed a collection of carpets entitled Nocturne, dedicated to the night, for Toulemonde Bochard in 1984. It includes the models Temps d'arrêt and Minuit passé, itself declined in four versions dedicated to the nights of different continents, "Nuit Boréale", "Nuit de Chine", "Nuit d'Afrique" and "Nuit d'Équateur". The idea behind this collection is to give life to colors and shapes, which evolve according to the surrounding light and the passage of time during the day.For the designer, the carpet is a passion, it is "a flat architecture" allowing him to tell stories.

This model of carpet Minuit Passé, version "Nuit d'Équateur" is composed entirely of wool. It features geometric patterns.
