The Wendy Wright chair, designed by Philippe Starck in 1986 and produced by the Spanish publisher Disform, takes its name from the science fiction novel Ubik by Philip K. Dick. It is characterized by a central foot, a possibility explored later for the Jane Paille chair that Starck made in 1987.
