Karel Kozelka (1909-1992)


Karel Kozelka is an architect and a Czech designer. He participated in the construction of " buildings with affordable housings " C370 built in Brno between 1936 and 1937. Karel Kozelka collaborated with Antonin Kropacek, together they are at the origin of numerous furnitures.

The top is made of glass. It was designed in 1944 by Karel Koželka and Antonin Kropáček for České umělecké dílny. The entire collection of this furniture, from which this table comes, won the  silver medal in 1946 at the Milan Triennale.

It is part of a set that was awarded the silver medal at the Milan Triennial in 1946. It is the Inka model produced by Interier Praha. This pair has been entirely restored. The cushion (seat and backrest) has been rebuilt by a professional, respecting the original model. The fabric is light "blue-grey".
