DESIGNER : Philippe Starck

Producer : Vitra

Philippe Starck designed the WW stool for the director Wim Wenders who had told him he wanted to work standing up. Formally, this piece is part of a period in which the designer is interested in organic forms. He describes it as a plant sculpture that is better to have in front of you than to sit on. It is according to Philippe Starck the fruit of an era when form, meaning and symbolism still took precedence over comfort.
