The M table belongs to the Lang series, in reference to the Minister of Culture at the time, Jack Lang, whose modern policy promoted cultural democratization. It was designed by Philippe Starck and produced by the publisher Driade between 1987 and 1994. 

The sandblasted glass top of this model relies on three cast aluminum legs, a recurrent element in the designer's creations. This table also exists in square and rectangular versions.
