Geneviève Claisse is a French painter born in 1935. She is the niece of the famous artist Auguste Herbin.
In 1958, she exposed his pieces for the first time in Paris and in Cambrai. The following year, she moved in Paris.
This is during this period that she began a collaboration with her uncle and that she shared her workshop with him.
