Ceramic "Calvados" bottle by Roger Capron

Roger Capron is a french ceramist born in 1922 in Vincennes. He is the apprentice of the decorator René Gabriel. In the forties, he decides to become a ceramist. In 1946, he opens his workshop in Vallauris with the two ceramists Jean Derval and Robert Picault.
The success that french production knows at this time, enables Roger Capron the to grow his company. In the beginning of the fifties, he opens the « Atelier Capron », which hire fifty employees. A few years later, he knows an international success.
Nowadays, many collectors around the world are very interested in Roger Capron's works. Galleries regularly present him in Germany, Canada and United States.
He dies in 2006.
