Miss Dorn leather chair by Philippe Starck for Disform, 1982

Reference : K0599

DESIGNER : Philippe Starck

EDITEUR : Disform

Designed by Philippe Starck in 1982 and subsequently produced by Disform, the Miss Dorn chair reflects a desire to move towards a more refined and simplified form. This is evident in the use of black for its metal frame and leather seat, as well as in the use of geometric curves. The frame has been repainted and the seat reupholstered.

The choice of the model’s name reflects Starck’s tastes, as it refers to a character from Philip K. Dick’s science-fiction novel *Ubik*. There are numerous references to this work in the designer’s oeuvre.
