Jacques Monory was born in Paris in 1924. He received training to become a painter then he discovered photography universe by working 10 years with an art publisher. He is one of the principals artist representing narrative figuration; movement created in 1960 in order to give a social and political aspect to painting.
From photographies that he take himself or that he picks in articles, he creates figures that he paints in pink, blue or yellow. His pieces represents modern society.
