This Royalton stool published by XO was designed by French designer Philippe Starck for the Royalton Hotel in New York. The hotel was completely renovated in 1988 by the French designer at the request of its director, Ian Schrager.

This major hotel project was an opportunity for the designer to express his creativity in a way that was both personal and modern. The base is cast aluminium and the seat is upholstered in blue fabric.
